Varsal can provide a variety of product chemistries that
can be used as catalysts or intermediate reaction materials
to produce specific agrochemical actives.
Methane sulfonic acid (MSA) can be used as a catalyst for
agchem products. It has an excellent biodegradability profile
and provides very efficient catalysis.
In synthesis, particularly for condensation reactions,
methane sulfonyl chloride (MSC) is particularly useful to make
methansulfonamides which are widely used as herbicides.
n-Octyl Pyrrolidone is used as a formulation solvent/co-solvent,
wetting agent/emulsifier.
Pyridines are offered as building blocks for pesticides for
increased yields and lower costs.
Varsal makes a number of fluorinated compounds- fluorinated
compounds are very useful for herbicides. Varsal can make high purity,
controlled isomers for selective activity of fluorinated compounds.
